Robot as a Service

One monthly fee. Robot, service, maintenance and installation included.

Robot as a Service is the practical way to put robots to work without a large upfront purchase. You pay a single, predictable operating cost. We arrange the rest — hardware, setup, support and upkeep — through verified manufacturers, resellers and finance partners.

Robots as an operating cost — not a capital project

Buying a robot used to mean a large cheque, a separate installer, a service contract you negotiated later, and the hope that the model you chose would still be the right one in five years.

Robot as a Service turns that into a fixed recurring subscription with a defined service level. Flexible pricing can follow usage, risk profile and the support you actually need — but the idea is always the same: one number you can put next to the hours and quality you gain.

That is why RaaS has become the starting point for first-time deployers, cash-conscious operators, and any team that would rather prove the outcome than own the iron.

What a single monthly fee should cover

If it is not in the quote, it will show up later as a surprise. Our all-inclusive programmes are built so the robot arriving is the expensive part of the story — not the aftercare.

Robot rental

The hardware you need — delivery, cleaning, reception, inspection or industrial — on a subscription, not a purchase order.

Installation & setup

Site assessment, mapping, configuration and go-live support so the robot is working in your operation, not sitting in a box.

Training

Operator training and handover so your team is confident from day one — robots assist staff, they do not replace them.

Service & maintenance

Preventive maintenance, remote monitoring and repairs included. Unexpected breakdowns should not become unexpected invoices.

Software updates

Over-the-air updates for functionality, productivity and security — so you keep pace with the technology without buying again.

Ongoing support

Defined response times, field service when needed, and a named point of contact. One fee, one team to call.

Why businesses choose Robot as a Service

A fixed monthly all-in cost is not just convenient accounting. It is how automation finally gets approved, deployed and kept running.

Zero large CapEx

Turn a six-figure capital request into a monthly operating expense. Easier to approve, easier to budget, cash kept for the rest of the business.

ROI you can actually assess

A fixed all-in monthly cost makes the comparison with staff hours, downtime and quality straightforward — finance can model it in minutes.

Faster from decision to deployment

With rental, service and installation already wrapped into one offer, you skip the multi-vendor procurement maze that stalls most first robot projects.

Performance, not ownership risk

If a robot underperforms, needs a part, or a better model arrives, that is the provider’s problem — not a stranded asset on your balance sheet.

Stay current

Structured upgrade and refresh paths mean you are not locked into yesterday’s hardware for a seven-year depreciation schedule.

Scale with demand

Add robots for a seasonal peak, a second site, or a new use case. Reduce when you do not need them. Capacity follows the work.

From first conversation to a working robot

Independent matching, then a commercial wrap that includes the people and processes that keep the robot earning its fee.

01

Tell us what you need

A short conversation about your site, use case, hours of operation and the outcome you want. No robotics expertise required.

02

Get an all-inclusive quote

We come back with a single monthly figure covering rental, installation, service and maintenance — with the service level spelled out.

03

Pilot if you want to

Many deployments start with a trial or a single robot so you can see the impact on your floor before you commit to a fleet.

04

Install, train, go live

Technicians handle configuration and mapping. Your team is trained. Recurring billing starts when you accept the robot is working.

05

Run, review, improve

Remote monitoring, scheduled maintenance and regular check-ins keep uptime high and usage optimised — not just “installed and forgotten”.

06

Renew, upgrade or return

At the end of term: keep going, step up to a newer model, buy out, or hand it back. You are not stuck with obsolete kit.

Buy outright or subscribe?

Ownership can be cheaper over a long, stable, high-utilisation life. RaaS wins when cash, speed, technology change or in-house service capability is the constraint.

Questions we hear most

What is Robot as a Service?

Robot as a Service (RaaS) is an all-inclusive subscription: you pay a fixed recurring fee for the robot, a defined service level, and the work around it — installation, maintenance, support and software updates. You use the robot; you do not have to own, maintain or refresh it yourself.

What is included in the monthly fee?

A typical RoboMercato RaaS quote covers robot rental, professional installation, operator training, preventive maintenance and repairs, software updates, remote monitoring and ongoing support to an agreed response time. Optional insurance can be bundled. We state clearly what is in and what is not before you sign.

How is this different from a finance lease?

A lease mainly finances the hardware. You still organise installation, service contracts, spares and upgrades. RaaS is the operating model: one monthly figure for the robot working in your business, with the provider responsible for keeping it that way.

How long is a typical contract?

Most programmes run 24–36 months, with flexibility for pilots and seasonal capacity. Terms depend on the robot type, utilisation and service level. We will recommend a structure that matches how you actually use the machine — including usage-based options where they make sense.

Do the robots replace staff?

No. The useful pattern is assist, not replace: robots take repetitive carrying, cleaning, tending and running so people can focus on customers, care and skilled work. That is also how you get a business case that teams will support.

Who owns the robot?

The manufacturer, reseller or finance partner on the contract owns the asset during the term. You get the output. At the end you can typically renew, upgrade, return, or in many cases purchase — we will set that out in the quote.

What if I am not sure which robot I need?

That is a normal starting point. Tell us the job to be done and the site constraints. We match you independently across verified manufacturers rather than pushing a single brand, then wrap the chosen solution in an all-inclusive monthly fee.
